Libronix?

When I was recently cleaning my office, I came across a lot of Libronix/Logos disks. I almost threw them away, but decided to make sure I had all of them in my Logos library. I was shocked to find out that I am missing some books and some audio files.

Anyway, I finally got my old desktop running, which has Libronix on it, but it will not synchronize the library, because for some reason it doesn't recognize the internet is connected (although it is). I thought that maybe I need to re-install Libronix and see if that would work.

Does anyone know where I can download the Libronix installation files?

Hi Charlene

A more productive use of your time might well be to ring Faithlfe (with your licence keys handy) and simply ask them to unlock the resources on Logos 7.

Once that is done you can turn your CD's into bird scarers or whatever....

To add on what Mike wrote: Faithlife discontinued the license server that was formerly used to synchronize libraries between Libronix and Logos. So even if you install Libronix successfuly, this will no longer enable you to transfer your licenses from Libronix to Logos, so that Logos will show your resources in the library.

Other than calling Customer Support, you can go to http://logos.com/redeem and input the product key which should be on the CD-ROM case, thus the resources will be added to your Logos account.

Note that there may be some rare video files that have never been converted to Logos resources, so check this out before you throw away the CD's

Actually I had previously contacted Logos about this. As I just reread the email they had sent me a few weeks ago (busy in school!), I see that I don't have to have Libonix, I have to have Logos 3; thus I need to "reinstall Logos 3" in order to get the right books on there and then I can sync with today's library.

Customer service: I see the Lest We Forget – A History of the Holocaust was from a previous version of Libronix (Logos Library System) this link will help us unlock it back to your account.

BUT the key thing is that that email did give me the link as to where I can go to download the files that I need.

I have two resources on my Libronix DVDs that can't be downloaded directly by L7, but need to be copied from the old DVDs by scanning.

That's a thought! Unfortunately my new laptop doesn't have a DVD player BUT I may have a cable here that I can connect the two laptops...may try that "in my spare time"! I just started my working on my doctorate and have had to hit the ground running...so maybe sometime this week I can try it!

Well, after spending hours/days trying to get a list of all my missing resources and getting them updated or copied to Logos 7 (following the directions of several different customer reps and then trying some things on my own), I find it out that none of my audiobooks or audio files from John MacArthur's LifeWorks Library as well as those in David Jeremiah's LifeWorks Library work in Logos! That is also true for the Lest We Forget - A History of the Holocaust DVD that was for Libronix.

I am so disappointed in the time I've wasted in the past week working on this as well as the money I wasted in the past buying these products. I had thought that once you bought a product in Logos, it would always work. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Such a shame.[:(]

The audio files are mp3 files on your discs. You can play them from disc or copy them to your hard drive or device to hear them. This is true for my John Frame disc. Hope this helps.

I understand this. I was just hoping that it would be in Logos. The same is true for the DVD on Lest We Forget. I can play the DVD, just not in Logos.
