No Books - Resources missing in Logos 4

I installed the alpha on my new mac. When I open it up, all my resources are missing. Any thoughts?

Hi Michael,
Have you seen the long downloading process and the even longer indexing process take place?

I'm not sure. I left over the weekend and just left it to install figuring it would be done by the time I got home. I tried to open it tonight and all it does is open to the home page and then quickly shut down. Don't know what's going on...

Hi Michael
Is there any chance the machine just went to sleep and abandoned the download process?
It is necessary to change the sleep settings on a laptop to only allow the screen to shut down not the processor if leaving it to download and index on its own.

Two things, sounds like you may have a corrupt layouts.db. Move this file out of the Logos4 folder and see if the program starts up. Then, check your library. If no books show up, then the indexer may have crashed before finishing indexing. If that is the case run "rebuild index" tonight.

Michael and Mike are two men who have been around the block a few times with the Alpha. Their advice is good. Try Michael's idea but make sure you pay attention to your power settings. Don't let your computer go to sleep when indexing or downloading.

I moved that file out and it's still closing down right away on startup. What do I try next?

Hi Michael, The next thing to do is to follow the instructions at the bottom of Tommy's post on "How to report bugs". The developers will need to see your logs before they can analyse the problem.
