Interesting article [http://redtape.msnbc.com/2010/04/the-constitutional-issues-raised-by-cloud-computing.html#posts] on cloud computing. I sometimes wonder about the eventual impact on companies like Logos. Anyway, interesting reading if you don't have anything else to do.
We waste a lot of time trying to make people honest and control government intrusion. At the end of the day, we should not believe what we send over something we cannot see is protected at all. The laws of empirical evidence just don't apply here.
At the end of it all, if the law came after someone for an electronic transmission, you cannot prove they were the preciser person who did what. Passwords get compromised all the time and investigators, without a video camera exhibiting you at your computer doing what they say you did, cannot pin you to anything.
I simply recommend to people to keep their mouth shut and get their lawyer when legal problems arise because with a man-made government, evil abounds with manipulation.
I say this with love for my fellow citizens and country, but maybe we should get our government to adhere to the constituion in its lawmaking efforts first...
