How can I keep the floating window being deleted after closing it? I believe it use to return to its position earlier. Now I have to reload the resource. No matter the window floating, it disappears once closed and I have to reload it again.

Save your layout with the window open. Then when you reopen the program, load saved layout from the layouts menu on the far right.
