Testing the waters with a friend

I have a friend that I gave the Premium EBible to a while ago. He told me he has been using it so I am testing him out without him knowing about it. Recently he told me he uses the software frequently. So I asked what Morph. tagged resources he had (I forgot what it came with). He wasn't 100% sure so I told him to run an Word study. He didn't know about it! he has studied Greek in college and seminary. He also didn't know about the verse lists, smart tags, I'm guessing any of the other tools. I think he simply used it to open up the Bible and hover over a word once in a while, but he did it often. NO, I did not tell him anything about 4.0 or its existance...though it is very difficult.

all that to say he is probably much more the average user then any of us are. I believe Logos is doing the right thing in cleaning things up so that the main features (exegetical guides, passage guide)  are easier to find, read and execute. Once people are hooked on using those features they will start to be steered towards the verse lists, prayer lists, highlighting as announcements are made that they are now available. Not sure this is Logos' strategy, but I hope it works this way!

    Philip,

I think we have the same friends!  I have a friend in Indiana who is the same way, He's virtually afraid of computers but I got Him Logos 3 anyway some time ago.  Since then I've been coaxing him along to try something other than reading and hovering, but he still doesn't.  I can't wait to sit him down in front of L4 and walk Him around in it.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.
