Is there a reason the Collectors edition is so high.
Its telling me it would cost me 5k to upgrade when I have over 13 invested in my portfolio.

Hello, Bura!
A couple of things to keep in mind when considering the cost:
Keeping in mind these two items, just because you had the former Portfolio 6 package doesn’t automatically mean there is a lot of overlap between it and the new Collector’s 7 edition.
The absolute easiest way to see this is to go to the Collectors page, scroll down to the Library Resources, and click the “New to You” button to see what will be added to your library that you don’t already own.
Is it worth the price? Only you can answer that question for yourself. Look at what you would be getting and make an informed decision from there.
There are many different avenues for you to go. Take a look at the Library Expansion packages or even the different denominational packages or pick-and-choose the resources you are most interested in at this point since you already have a large library. I really think everyone would benefit from purchasing a large library once because it is the cheapest way to get the quantity of resources I believe one needs to make the most of the software. After that, maybe consider the quality of resources for future purchases.
To me, it adds 2954 resources I don’t own, out of the 4822 it comes with, and I see quite a bit of public domain works to fluff up that count. Not worth the cost of admission – to me. As a former Portfolio owner – way back before Baker was pulled from it, with other packages and purchases as well, I’m at the pick-and-choose stage now.
Good luck!
