Bible translations in different languages
I am really impressed by much of the functionality and work of Logos/Faithlife, but one thing really bothers me - why only the few translations into major languages? There is english, german, french, spanish, portugese, chinese, korean and maybe a few more. If looking into Accordance or YouVersion eg. there are so many more translations into a number of languages. Into Swedish three or more translations, into finnish 2 translations in Accordance. And YouVersion - 900 different languages. Of course, you have a lot more to support when it comes to a translation than YouVersion, but still... I myself really would appreciate a Bibel2000 translation in swedish, and without it, I think that the universities here will continue to prefer your competitors.

You can add a Finnish Bible to Biblia/Logos for free. https://www.logos.com/product/6050/raamattu-1933-1938
There are some more to add such as Czech and Russian.
I think at least these should be available in Biblia by default.
Most competitors by the way are either Bible Societies or charities (that probably receive resources for free from the Bible Societies).

AS I see it, the basic tagging for the Bible is quite standard, and should be possibel to automate.
Having all known translations in Logos might be a quite distant target, but I don't see it impossible. And it could increase the Logos customer base quite significantly.

No offense, Jan. But I wondered how a Swedish person might use a Finnish Bible. Was it like the US and Canada? Or like the US and Mexico?

I guess maybe it might be worse than english/spanish. But I don't know. I was recently happy to see Logosians could search Logos.com in a series of languages. And it seemed to take forever for Logos to adopt Chinese and Korean. For Japanese, forever and a day; waiting, waiting (for the Libby interlinear).

It is always possible to copy a verse and use it, I've done that with Arabic Bible and the response was ok. Although one must double-check the book-chapter-verse.

That's how I see it as well, I do not really understand why Logos is not eager to widen their customer based, if not more difficult than that first step. Of course there could be sales over the Sea, titles in more languages etc. But, a really good translater (Google translate is doing better and better in these days) integrated in a nice way (a right click option over a selected text to get a pop up translation e.g.) - would be another one. And more of non-evangelical (which is good, but to extend the customer base by other traditions) titles another one.
Well, we will go there, sooner or later, I hope sooner, this is my number one without any doubt for Logos!

Well, Finnish was one of the languages he specifically asked for. If there were any Swedish Bible in Logos, I would have pointed to that one instead.
Compared to languages like Indonesian, Twi, Swhahili or Filipino, both Swedish and Finnish would be quite negligible in terms of prospective users.
