Lack of new features
Can the lack of new features and tons of fixes in the last two Betas, as well as completed Interlinears, be taken as an indication that this will soon be sent to the masses and "D" to start testing soon?

I think more than that, they're laboring at killing bugs so that when the next round of features are introduced, they rest on a solid foundation.

Whichever the case may be, I think it is a good strategy. If Dewayne is correct, that could lead to smaller, but more frequent, stable releases. If Thomas is correct, it should be less complicated to release 2 or 3 major features to the beta and then largely stabilize them before releasing the next 2 or 3 than it is to release 10 major features at once and try to track down all the related bugs.

There is also the fact that as the testers gain experience with L4 they get better at finding the problems.

IMHO there have been a lot of niggling bugs and crashes that shouldn't be crashes or shouldn't have occurred at all! It indicates a system the developers haven't quite come to terms with. The focus on bug fixes is good for the learning curve and future stability.

I agree. However, I can't help wondering what support (automated or human) they have for regression testing.
