A17 - Not Responding while closing guide

2313.Archive.zipNow, I have no idea what is going on. I'm completely unable to use L4 as of the moment. I open L4 and it signs me in. Then it brings me back to the last layout I had. This was just a PG and an EG attempting to load information on Matt. 1:18-25.

Now, this takes forever. In fact, the EG never seems to finish all the way. Anyway, this is not the layout I want. Every time I attempt to close either the PG or the EG (or do a "close all" command) the program stops responding. This has happened several times in a row. I keep on having to force quit and re-open - to the same situation. Nothing is working. I can't close these guides.

I'm running a pretty fast computer. 3.06ghz iMac, 4gb DDR3, 1TB memory.

Tom, et al. , would tell you that deleting 'layouts.db is not a panacea for all ills. But they have gone home for the weekend so why not give it a try. In fact you don't have to delete it just move it onto the desktop for a while.

You will find it in user/library/application support/logos 4/documents/ some random string/ layout manager.

If moving this cures your start up ills you might try managing with out your layouts until Alpha 18 when you could try reinstating them as a test.

Don't tell anyone that I told you to do this - I am trying to keep in their good books. :-)

I was able to actually close both guides and open a new layout. Took probably 12 tries total. I can see how your recommendation would have worked though. I'll file that in the back of my brain for an emergency. Thanks.
