Trouble Searching Notes Documents

Hello Gurus!

I'm on a Mac trying search my note documents. I am not getting any search hits on notes- whether I'm searching Everything, Your Documents or even "in pane" CMD+F.

I did just move some individual notes around to new documents and shuffled the deck a bit- so maybe its indexing? All day though?

I stash highlights from multiple resources in one note- and was then hoping to search that note. The highlights themselves are returning results in the resources. I just can't search the notes document for the same highlighted information.

Maybe it doesn't work that way?

Unfortunately, the system doesn't work this way. When you search your notes, you are searching for content you have typed into the "Title" and "Content" fields. The text that is displayed when you are in "Quotes" mode is the text of the resource that has been highlighted.

You might have some luck searching using a regular search with something like: journeyings WITHIN {Highlight *} This will find all places where the word journeyings shows up within any of your highlights. If you've used a consistent highlighting style, you can use the name of the highlighting style instead of * to narrow things down a little more.
