Why does not your bible notes "show up" work in each Bible, while studying in different bibles like NKJV, NIV,or NAS?
It depends on whether you have created notes "by reference" which links them to a verse / passage, or "by selection" which just links them to the text.
"By reference" are shown in all versified resources - Bibles / commentaries - while "by selection" are just shown in the resource you create them in.

If you have created notes by selection that you want to appear in other Bibles then you can enable the "Corresponding Notes and Highlights" visual filter - assuming you are working in Bibles that support reverse interlinear capability or all original language resources
