How to copy and paste without numbers/extra space?

I use the copy and paste feature a lot form my computer, but how am I able to copy and paste without the number sand the extra spaces?

Hi Tyson:

Welcome to the Logos user forums. The answer depends on what you're copying and which numbers and spaces you're referring to. I'll take a shot at a number of possibilities. If this doesn't help post us a screenshot or two to make your issue clearer.

1. If you're referring to bible passages, the best option is likely the Copy Bible Verses tool. It provides a lot of control over how the pasted result will look in the destination. Choose Tools, Copy Bible Verses, and see this Help section  and be sure to check out the various formatting options. Once you've specified the passage, specify the format, version, and destination from the line above the Copy button.
2. There's another option for bible passages, but it seems to have spotty success, which is using MS Word Smart Tags. See this webpage from the Help section for details. (it generally works for me [Win7/Word16])
3. If you're copying text from the right-click context menu or Ctrl+C (either bible or other resource) and the footnotes and cross references are copying over and that's annoying you, choose Tools, Program Settings, and change Copy Footnotes to No.

Hope that helps, and if I might add another suggestion:  Make a signature for your posts that shows your OS and revision #. This info might help others know more about your issue. On this forum page, find your user name in the upper-tight corner and choose Edit next to it. Scroll down to Signature and type a brief OS description. [Edit] There's a Save button at the bottom. (Boy, does that drive me nuts: some sites have a Save button, some don't.)
