Still find Logos unusable

A17 Logos constantly drops out and becomes unresponsive.

Easy for me to reproduce. ;-)

Just start Logos - do anything for a minute or two, and then spinning pizza and no response.

Logos is starting to look really good. It's so frustrating not to be able to enjoy it the way other seems to be able.

My logs are attached. A18 is looking great! Thanks!

It looks like you have quite a few items in your Favorites and Preferences. Your logs indicate that the system is syncing all the data from presumably your Windows install. We don't have a sync icon yet, but if you open /Users/karljones/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Logging/Logos4.log in Console, you'll see what's goingon behind the scenes. Once the SyncManager finishes syncing, the app might become usable again.

You might just have to give it 10 minutes or so to get caught up on all your data.

The sync manager log message look like this:

I deleted all my favorites, there were hundreds, but the program still ends up by spinning pizza and locking.

I'm not sure whether your deleted your favorites from the Windows side or Mac but if you did from the Mac then they are just going to try again. I would re-read Tom's response to you and try what he advised. You don't need to delete them, just let them finish syncing.

Yes, I did that first but it didn't seem to help. I was able to work a little longer before the program halted.

Not to worry, I'll see how things go in future releases and try to submit more specific reports in due course.

You may also want to check and see if items like Biblical people and Places are running in your passage guide of your layout. I had those items running and could do nothing to get Logos to switch to a new passage without locking up.

I deleted those items from the passage guide and updated the layout and now Logos runs beautifully.

Once the PG finishes generating, click the arrow next to the section and it will collapse the section so that it no longer runs automatically. Alternately, you could create a custom PG that does not contain these sections
