Hello, does anyone know of a good online school, looking to get a cert. or masters in missions or divinity.
Thanks
I am currently attending Liberty University Online. So far so Good!

I am a Liberty Online student as well, M. Div Pastoral Counseling. Their seminary offers many different programs. And Logos works as a great tool, as many of the text books are available. The additional box sets, especially the Theological Journals allow you to spend less time searching for material, and more time studying and processing it. And the Logos academic price breaks are a tremendous deal as well.
In Christ,

edited in an attempt to conform to guidelines, even if just a little bit...
Reformed Theological Seminary has a virtual campus with a Masters in Religion as well as certificate programs in Missions or a number of different theology certificates. You can check them out at http://virtual.rts.edu/ and click on academics on the menu.
I'm about a third of the way done with a Masters of Religion and have really enjoyed the classes (especially professor John Frame's).
does anyone know of a good online school,
Technically I should mention - check the guidelines for Logos forums.
hey MJ whats your problem losen up!!! i am looking for advice...... get a life
Trust me, I have a very full life which I enjoy immensely. People who know me would generally call me overly laid-back. However, implicit in the request is the assumption that forum members share a basic theology - an assumption that at times have made people feel unwelcome. Logos has asked me to help enforce the rules by gentle reminders. So my advice to you is: (1) look for advice in an appropriate venue (2) don't make snap and/or erroneous judgments about personalities you know only from the forums.

You may also wish to read the forum guidelines on name-calling. [:)]
Thank you MJ for your work. It is amazing at what a little reminder can bring out in people. [:S]
This is a very good discussion as this is a forum filled with technologically savvy students of God's word. Thank you for asking the question.
Online school is a great way to utilize your Logos digital library. I've been able to have about 80% of my books on Logos and find that keeping everything on the computer makes online seminary incredibly effective. I love taking lecture notes right into Logos while I listen. It's perfect to be able to compare lecture with written.
For example, as I mentioned John Frame teaches a few of the courses at RTS and his Collected Works of John Frame (http://www.logos.com/products/details/3586) come in very handy.
[Now we may continue as this conversation now relates to Logos Bible software [:P])
MJ, I'm not against your gentle reminders (if Logos asked you to do it, it's ok). I hope my comments bring it back a little bit.
William,
As mentioned by a few other people in this post, we do have forum guidelines in place, and those are listed below. Whenever posting anything in the forums, rather it be a post or a response to someone's question, please abide by the following guidelines as you interact on our forums.

. I hope my comments bring it back a little bit.
Thanks for your assistance. Well done.
are you a pastor or a pastor want a be
no, I am retired from secular employment.
From Deborah's list of the guidelines: "Please treat each other with the love, courtesy, respect, and kindness that you would if you were sitting in your living room together."
oh pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
William, you are out of line.
MJ was right to point out that your initial question was beyond the bounds of this forum.
Please be respectful.
MJ, please do not take my response to the OP as being disrepectful towards you, as at the time I did not realize the manner in which he would continue to respond. I have enjoyed the synthesis in my life between Logos and Liberty, and also have enjoyed the benefits of the academic discounts, something that many may not take adavantage of.
Please accept my apologies.
please do not take my response to the OP as being disrepectful towards you,
No problem - I didn't take any offensive with the responses. Since the poster was new to the forums, I simply thought that he ought to read the guidelines as occasionally such questions do lead to problems. None of us could have predicted his response based on the initial post.

William what is your goal for a certificate or masters program? Are you considering missionary work, or looking for personal edification and growth, or maybe some other goal?
I'm not very familiar with fully-online degrees, but I know that some outstanding seminaries offer a limited number of classes online or via distance learning.
