A18: No highlighting

Highlighting / Visual Markup

Highlighting is visible for resources which are marked up in Windows. We haven't implemented the Highlighting panel as it was necessary to be able to display highlighting properly before attempting to apply highlighting.

I am not seeing any highlighting in text that I have highlighted in windows. I have made sure that the highlighting box is checked (Nor do I see any of my visual markups).

Did you try the "sync now" command or restart Logos 4 for Mac after applying the highlighting in Windows?

I tried the sync now, and the highlighting in Windows is weeks/months old and yes i have restarted my L4Mac in that time [;)]

Do you have "use internet" selected on both your Mac Windows version of Logos 4? Do you have a firewall or proxy set up on either machine?

Your issue appears to be related to custom highlighting styles. Tom will be looking into it shortly.

Something in your custom visual markup is crashing the highlighting visual filter, which would explain why you're not seeing any highlighting. Would you mind posting your visualmarkup.db for us to look at?

It lives in ~/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/<random>/VisualMarkup/visualmarkup.db

You have a "Time" style that includes an image. Apparently Windows encodes the image URI's in a Windows specific format. Think if you remove the image from the style, highlighting might start working.

I'll create a case in our issue tracker and see if we can get this working on both platforms.

Style deleted, I can now use that layout in L4Mac and I have highlighting there as well.

Tom/David, thanks for your help. Believe it or not, this was really crimping my ability to use L4Mac on a regular basis, since I live in this layout right now.
