Why does cantillation appear in a lemma?

I didn't want to take my cantillation bug report off-topic, so I'm asking this question separately.

I'd expect that it would be stripped from the dictionary form, yet a (misrendered?) "dot" appears in the search string lemma, and the context menu lemma.

What is that "dot" following the tav and what is the proper name for it, if it is legit?

The ole accent is used by Biblical Hebrew lexicons to indicate where a syllable other than the standard default one is accented. In the case of Hebrew the default is the final syllable for most word classes, so you will often find this symbol when the first syllable is accented. You can find an explanation in the Abbreviations section of Brown-Driver-Briggs.

Because the cantillation was misrendered as a "dot," I assumed that the "dot" in the lemma was something other than the accent character (which is perfectly reasonable to be used in a lexicon).
