No, these suggestions are not limited to Lifeguide Bible Studies and yes, I have requested them before and yes, I owned some of them in the old lesson building application. However, asking for $400 implies that you know these are a significant investment for which users will want tangible increases in usability in the Logos version. I suggest that the following are a minimum:
- Make study guides their own subtype of commentary. Make separate commentary sections for Study Bibles, Study Guides, and all other commentaries.
- Make the following changes in the fill-in-the-blank feature:
- Make it possible to clear all values in order to reuse the guide
- Make it possible to save all values and clear all values so that one can save "teacher answers" or previous studies to notice one's own growth
- Ideally make it possible to save "teacher answers" (or suggested answers) so that teachers can share their experience and information
- Ideally make the answer entry box to expand to fit the text so that one can see the entire answer.
- Add a question label (attributes include reference, question form (essay, fill-in-the-blank, multiple choice, ...), question type (basic understanding, intertextual, application ...). This allows one to run a query to identify questions relevant to one's passage. This would also be a candidate for a new guide section similiar to sermons which is also label driven. [Note labels permit user to make vyrso resources appear.]
- There may need to be additional features added to the sermon editor, but I haven't gotten that far.
