A layout BEHIND a layout

Is there a way to have a layout behind a layout?

What I mean is this. I'm doing a personal study on Ephesians and I only have two screens. On them I have commentaries, preferred Bibles and grammatical stuff (NA28; textual commentaries - Metzger/Omanson - a grammatical analysis and a critical apparatus).

There is a lot going on, but what I'd like to know is this: Is there any way to have multiple layouts behind each other?

I'd like to have a layout with commentaries, another one with grammatical stuff and maybe one with either back ground material and or theologies.

I know that you can have specific layouts on the ribbon, but instead of closing one layout and then opening another it would be much easier to have layouts layered like Word or Excel docs.

This does take up some memory but I have a fairly powerful PC.

Any chance of that?

No, but you could come close by having Verbum open along with Logos. Verbum would use your second layout, and you could toggle between apps to “change” layouts.

No, but you can have multiple floating windows on each screen - one behind the other - and save this as a layout.

I'd like to have a layout with commentaries, another one with grammatical stuff and maybe one with either back ground material and or theologies.

One floating window can have commentaries, one grammatical stuff, one background material, one theologies, and more.

it would be much easier to have layouts layered like Word or Excel docs.

I love this idea! The ability to name each of the floating windows like Excel tabs and simply clicking the tab instead of clicking them on the task bar to uncover them would be nice and efficient for a work space.
