issues migrating back to L3 from L4

Hi,

I cannot successfully run L4 on the church office computer. I have installed L3 but notice that a number of resources are missing, compared to L4 on my laptop. The primary book that I am missing is the ESV reverse interlinear (gk and heb), although the library reports about a forty book discrepancy between L3 and L4.

I have the original pastors library, the Lucado Lifeworks collection and then upgrade to L4 Scholars Gold.

Having installed L3 and then used the download script to import my library from the server I thought this would find all my Scholar Gold content. I have run a license sync a number of times as well as refreshing the resources upon startup.

Still no luck with having the two library's report the same number of titles, or to find the interlinear in L3.

Hope someone can make sense of this,

I will try these and see if it resolves things, having found that I am missing addins, so perhaps the lack of original language tools might be my issue?

Sadly it has not solved my issues.

Still can't find the ESV reverse, I don't seem to have the original languages addin either.

If you can't open them, your license file is missing some components and a call to CS will be needed.

You should have got the original languages addin with your L4 upgrade right? It's possible it didn't get added to your license file in a way L3 can use. You ran the addin update script right? This probably need to call CS about this too.

I went ahead and dl'd the source files from the ftp (incidentally, is it possible to do that for any missing resources, and how do you learn the right address for doing so?)

Both the Hebrew & Greek ESV rev int are now available and open. Brilliant!

I am more comfortable with L4 (even though its painfully slow on my best computer) than I am L3. Now that I have upgraded there is a lot more I (potentially) can do with Logos, but I am quite lost when it comes to accomplishing it in L3. L4 seems more intuitive.

I have found these http://www.logos.com/logos3/videos however, are there more video tutorials available, especially user created ones as with L4?

Logos segregated updates for Libronix. The regular program update only looked for core engine upgrades and certain resource updates. For comprehensive updates one had to run all of those scripts to check for all the classes of updates. I'm glad for the much more simple approach of L4.

In your case I opened my copies of the ESV rev int in Libronix and use the "About this resource." Sometimes the filenames are clear what the books are, other times they are not. If you don't know, search for the book on the Logos website, on the book's page there will be a link to the ftp for the book file. Or, if you have the book in Logos 4, look at the information and just replace the .logos4 with .lbxlls and you should have the right book. If you still can't figure it out, ask on the forum, someone will be able to look it up.

That's all that shows in mine, I had Scholar's Gold before my L4 upgrade so you look good to go. \

I'm not sure. You might ask by starting a new thread in the L3 forum. Also check out T Black's site stilltruth.com he has a lot of resources for Libronix.

I hear ya! Many things about L4 that are HUGE improvements. I just need to upgrade my computer at some point to get the efficiency I'd like.

I'm glad for the much more simple approach of L4.

Thank you for taking the time to track down those files for me, and for the instructions on how to obtain them. I had to grab some from the logos.com site for some of my Lucado books, although I was stumped when searching for some things that had the .logos4 file extension rather than .lbxlls so that clears that up for me

just replace the .logos4 with .lbxlls and you should have the right book

I had pastors lib before L4 so the language tools are all new to me, and having followed the vid tuts I am doing ok in L4, but it'll take me a little longer to achieve the same on this old machine and L3
