Always opens to James 1

Logos Bible on Android is getting very frustrating.  It always wants to open to James 1 when I come back to it after a while, no matter where I last navigated to or read to.  Please don't make me have to switch to you version for my bible reading.

Why are you making threats? I’m sure they can fix it

Threats??? I read plea a for a fix to the issue the OP is experiencing because they do not want to have to use alternate software.

Are you experiencing this with once Bible version, if so which one, or is it happening with other bible translations?

    Following doc's questions:

    1. Are the version(s) you are using downloaded to your device?
    2. Are you seeing this behaviour when online or offline?
    3. When you "come back to it after a while" have you been doing anything else in the app or just totally left it?
    4. Is the version you are using "linked" to any other resources?

Nasb95.  Looking at another tab I'm notice ive had an esv open for a while and it's still in 1 peter.  Not sure if it's stuck there or not.

    1. Downloaded.

    2. On my phone, so always online.

    3. Not on the app.  I'm assuming it's long enough that android is closing the app and it has to reopen.

    4. Not sure what this means in android app.  How would ic check?

    1. Downloaded.

Please try removing it and seeing if you get the same behaviour when accessing the resource in the cloud.

If that works correctly download again and check again

    2. On my phone, so always online.

    Thanks

    3. Not on the app.  I'm assuming it's long enough that android is closing the app and it has to reopen.

I've just force quit the app to see what happens when I restart it (with a downloaded copy of NASB). It correctly opened up to where I was last reading - in this case Isaiah 6

    4. Not sure what this means in android app.  How would ic check?

In the tab manager screen you can tap the link icon (two interlocking ovals) and link tabs (or split tabs) together. I'm just wondering if there are any links setup it is forcing the behaviour you are seeing.

Force quoting always resets nasb95 to James 1.  I confirmed there is no such effect in esv.  Esv remembers where it last was. There is no linking.

Very strange - I can't reproduce that. Hopefully someone from Faithlife will be able to comment / advise

Which version of the app are you using on which version of Android and which device?

I have app 6.0.7 on Android 5.1.1 on Samsung Galaxy J3

How many other devices do you have Logos installed on (iOS / Android / Mac / PC)? Do you have the NASB opened on any of those devices? Also, which version of the NASB? (NOTE: There is a paragraph version and a "verse by verse" one).

A couple of old phones,  but they are powered off.  Just tried force dripping again to confirm it doesn't happen to esv.  It doesn't.   But nasb1995 (the only one I have w/o paragraphibg) is stuck at rev 16 now. (I actually left of at rev 18).

I closed the tab and reopened the resource and it seems to be working now. Really weird. But then I always seem to run into the word bugs.

Was this alleged threat made against you Keith? If you perceived a threat, did you respond in judgement thus projecting yourself as a better person than the OP or did you step back from the situation, dismiss the emotion and look to see how you could offer assistance or direct the OP towards a source of assistance?
