How do I know "Report Typo" really works?

I just reported my first typo in L4 by highlighting and using right-click, but after I corrected it and hit the submit button, it all just went away. I assumed the function works like it is supposed to. I guess what I saying is I would like some kind of pop-up response from the software, like "thank you," to reassure me!

Even with the email confirmation (which is automated), I still sometimes have the question "how do I know it really will get paid attention to?" So I have gotten in the habit of applying a special custom Highlighting style to any typo I've reported, so that I can go back periodically and check if they've been fixed (and also avoid reporting them again if I've already done so).

I have a question, though: is it possible to search for my uses of highlighting across my library? I thought Visual Filters would do think, but I now don't think that is it.

Yes, as of 4.0c (which is still in beta; not sure if you're one of the beta testers) you can search for Highlighting. It is not very optimized yet, so if you search for the wildcard character ('*') in a given highlighting style, it can take an hour to search your whole library for all of that Highlighting style. Logos's Search function is optiimized best for searching for particular words, which are all in its index (all that time-consuming indexnig they do up-front saves time in the actual searching). I'm hoping they will do some work on improving the performance of this before 4.0c ships, because it's not very useful right now. But here's how you do it (if you've got the 4.0c beta):

Type asterisk (*) -- the universal wildcard character -- into the Search box, and go out for a cup of coffee! [:)]
