Expositor's Bible Commentary
I'd love to see the Expositor's Bible Commentary make it into Libronix. This short commentary series is nonetheless packed with good info and is always one of my must-reads when pulling out commentaries to prepare for a sermon. I'd like it if I had a version of this to travel with me in my Libronix library.

Anyone reading this, don't confuse Expositor's Bible Commentary with the Expositor's Bible on pre-pub, they are different.

Zondervan product = no go in Libronix format
we are stuck with Pradis if we want the resource (that is why I have pradis)

I love some of the Z products, but I find their platform and service and website information and navigation terribly sub-par. Or at least I am too dull to follow. Sorry, I don't intend to rip another company, especially on this website. I HAVE bought several of their products (NIDNTT, NIVAC, Illustrated Bible Backgrounds, EBC, etc).
I tolerate it for their product, but I never, never, recommend it to anyone. But I DO recommend Logos all the time.
I like Apples. Especially Honeycrisp.

I won't tolerate it. If they want my money, they can make it easier for me to use their product by not tying me to a clunky program limited to their publications. If I REALLY want to use one of their products, I do to the library. They won't get my money.

I have EBC NT as a paper books. I love it. For me Logos version would be the only option. Is there any chance we would see Zondervan titles in Logos?

I wasn't familiar with Pradis, thanks for pointing it out. But the last thing I need is another program to go with Logos and Bibleworks. I'll stick with my paper copy of EBC if Zondervan won't license some of their titles through Logos.

Zondervan has publicly stated that they do not see any reason to license their product to other software companies (other than their translations).

I loathe what ZOndervan and their NIV has done to the Bible section of bookstores, making thought for thought the most popular choice.

My brother is a Z rep, so I have some Pradis product on my computer. I utilize it only after I have exhausted my Logos resources and have extra time to do further study. That doesn't happen too often!
The total integration of resources in Logos is so much easier than having to use other programs as well.

I agree. At some point Zondervan has got to realise that in an electronic age, platform does make a difference. I only buy what I absolutely have to have and can't get anywhere else. I hope Zondervan comes to their senses one of these days that it is a deterrent, rather than an encouragement to have to buy it on Pradis.

lol, I don't want to rip the company, especially on a logos site, but i do have a TON of agitation toward the whole Z software philosophy, support, and functionality. And don't get me even started on the website.
I also cringe when I think I am essentially supporting this narrow perspective of theirs by buying their product.
Still, here is why I got some of the resources: George Guthrie has a great commentary on Hebrews in the NIVAC. (he also does the entry for Hebrews in the Commentary on the New Testament use of the OT--which is on Pre-Pub in Logos!!!!!!!!!). It is a great little tool. When doing research with his resource or some others (like NIDNTT) it is nice to cut and paste sections I am studying and find relevant for saving with my research in Logos notes. It sure beats lugging books around, etc. Similar to why I am attracted to Logos in the first place.I don't share the anti-NIV stance, though. I have found it very helpful in my life, along with the (gasp!) NLT. And, yes, I also love the ESV, NASB, NIrV, the Message (double gasp!). And, I must add, I have found at times I really like the translation of the KJV. I take each for what they bring to the table.

I have had EBC on my laptop for years, right along with Logos. Takes all of about 10 seconds to open it. Would I love to have it in Logos? Absolutely. But the current arrangement is not a chore. I much prefer their maps over what Logos offers.

I agree Brad. The electronic versions of Zondervan's stuff are cheaper and using another program to get to the content is not that big a deal.

I agree with you about the price
this is why I don't complain that much (would be great to have the resources in Libronix at the same price to have one main portal for all my resources and all the tools Logos offers but beggars are not choosers , especially when you need the resources that include NIDOTTE, NIDNTT, EBC and NIVAC)
I mainly use Pradis to display electronic resources
I will buy the revised EBC as soon as they complete it and publish it electronically , same for the rest of the NIVAC OT
I just wish they could update their software and interface a bit more frequently (i.e. more often than every two years) but when it comes to the price of the resources, I got some of my best bargains there

George Guthrie's introduction to the Book of Hebrews in the NIVAC is worth the price of the volume by itself. I have never seen a commentary do a better job of putting you into the mindset of the first readers of a book of the Bible.
