Android App - Not saving book position
I have been reading through Preaching the Word Commentary - Jeremiah/Lamentations and the app will not save my position correctly. If I leave off in the middle of a chapter and close the app, it will default to some earlier set-point. The only way I can save my position is to stop reading at a heading that is listed in the TOC and to then go into the TOC and click through to that heading. This will then save my current position.
The eBooks app had been working with other books.
I am using an Samsung Galaxy S5 with the current version of the app.
Cheers

I second this bug. Using a Samsung Note 8.

I am also having this same problem with a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. Additionally, when I open the same book on my laptop, it's also opening to previous locations instead of where I left off.
I'd much prefer the option to add a one click bookmark similar to Kindle, Google Play Books, and pretty much any other reader I've used.

The expected (but in your case perhaps not desired) behavior is that the desktop app will open to where the resource was last used in that layout. If you are opening the resource from the library on the desktop, it <should> open to the last used location across any device.

It would be great if either the desktop or Android app would open to the last location. But, that's exactly the problem. It just happened again, opened a book and it opened to the beginning of the last chapter that I finished. I left the app at the beginning of the new chapter.

For clarification: You did NOT leave the book open on the app, right? You opened the book from the library, and it opened up to a spot you did not expect. Just making sure we are on the same page.
FWIW - I have long advocated the idea of "projects" which would solve this problem nicely.

I actually opened it on Android in the new carousel feature where the book should be at the last location I'd presume. Next time I'll exit the book, remove it from the carousel, then reopen it and see where it puts me. 👍
Edit: that was even worse, the book opened to the beginning of chapter one. 😫
Genius....
