Screen Shut Off in iOS

Hello,

In the YouVersion bible app, when I open it to the scripture to read, such as in church, it somehow disables or delays the normal screen shut off that happens due to inactivity. This is incredibly convenient so that while in church listening to a sermon and following along you are not having to constantly touch the screen to keep it from timing out and the screen going dark. For some reason the Logos mobile app does not do the same, nor can I find a setting to enable this. Can this be built into the app so that it functions like the YouVersion app in this regard?
