If You Had to Choose...

For those of you who have BOTH an iPad and iPhone, if you had to choose which one would you go with and why?

The reason I ask is that even though the initial cost of the iPad is higher, over a two year period an iPhone would cost more money. Perhaps an iPad/basic cell phone is a better deal than an iPhone.

In only three weeks of iPad use, I could tell you that if I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the iPad. I have it with me everywhere. I carry it like I used to carry a daytimer way back when.

Easy decision. I like my iPhone, too, but with the iPad in hand, I could use a lesser phone if I had to.

I too think that if you tried to pry them out of my cold dead fingers, I'd release my iPhone first and get a basic one. However, having all that the iPhone can do with you all the time is much more convenient than the bigger iPad.

So instead I'd fight you hard before I ever let you take either one.

iPhone definitely, the reason being that I could get another type of smartphone (i.e. BB or Android). But at this time, there is no replacement for the iPad and frankly, I am using the aps on my iPhone a lot less now that I have the iPad. Fact is demo of the new Verizon Android model showing up next week, depending on what the new iPhone looks like, I may just keep it instead.
