Proverbs Explorer / Tags... Glossary???

Does anyone know if there is a glossary to the verses tagged as Proverbs? See photo below but in 19:23 when I use the information panel (or right click) it tells me the form is a synthetic parallel and the type is a saying but when I hover over those no definition pops up. Just below it there is a Longacre genre that is defined if I hover over it. Any thoughts where I might go to get the definition?

Proverbs Explorer was one of the earliest interactives we released, it happened before we had a formal practice of documenting within the interactive, and it looks like documentation slipped through the cracks. I'll prioritize getting a dataset documentation resource together for the Proverbs material and try to get it into the next resource release cycle (March 5 release, cross your fingers).

In lieu of that release, here are short definitions of Types and Forms used in the Proverbs data

Types

Advice: Predicated as a direct address, often to a specific hearer.
Characterization: An attempt to define a class of persons by their characteristics.
Consequence: A Proverb that explains the consequence of certain behavior.
Means: A means by which a result occurs.
Ode to Wisdom: Personification of Wisdom in proverbs.
Prologue: Introductory comments to a set of Proverbs.
Saying: Predicated as a direct address, often to a specific hearer.

Forms

Antithetical Parallel: Second half expresses an opposite of the first half.
Better/Than: A comparison between something that is better than another thing.
List: A list or progression of material.
Redirection: A topic is redirected to something new.
Similar Parallel: Second half restates the first half.
Simile: An explicit comparison.
Statement: Not a parallel; A complete thought is expressed only by both lines.
Synthetic Parallel: Second half builds on the first half.

A suggestion: from its original release on, users have been requesting a bubble visualization for the Proverbs, similar to what they have for the Psalms. Have you considered this as an alternative -- a tree map? Example below so everyone knows what I'm talking about:

I was thinking along the lines of:

access either by (level 1 type - level 2 form) or (level 1 form - level 2 type)
click a box in level 1 brings up level 2 for that section
click a box in level 2 brings up a list of proverbs meeting the form-type criteria
optional: click on a proverb reference on the left-hand select bar and have it highlighthe box in the Tree Map to which that reference belongs

Note that there are some other interactives that could benefit from a similiar visualization which spreads the cost of the development over several features.

Yes, I realize that I have oversimplified the example and that I have not addressed the categorization into subgroups within a level that would utilize the Tree Map characteristics more fully. For example Forms can be grouped into (a) parallels - antithetical, similar, synthetic (b) comparisons - better/than, simile (c) sentence - statement, redirection and (d) lists.

Sort of?

The documentation is complete, but the licensing needs to be worked out so that users with the dataset and/or interactive are properly licensed. That will take a little time to work out.

So while the documentation will ship today, nobody will see it until the licensing gets worked out. I don't have an estimate on that but will reply to this thread when it happens.
