My Public Apology for My Public Mistake

I am one who has been very negative about the recent decision by Logos regarding FL Connect and other things. I have said some things publicly that I should not have said and I apologize for this. I ask for your forgiveness and for the leadership of FL and if my statements have negatively affected your attitude towards this company, again I'm sorry.

I will make no other statements about this decision. Best wishes to you, this company and your leadership. May God bless all you attempt to achieve.

Your humility and honesty are commendable. I have read your comments and feel that they have moved this discussion forward. Don't allow your change of heart to cause you to draw back from the discussion moving forward. Your opinion whether positive or negative is needed in the collective forum community.

Does that mean you no longer have your entire Logos library for sale at the Logos resale page?

DAL I'd be happy to discuss that elsewhere or you can contact me privately. I do not wish to talk about that in this thread because it contradicts my desire fo this thread to show that I was wrong and feel bad for how I handled this.

Don’t worry about it brother you are entitled to sell or give away your Logos library  regardless.  I don’t think it contradicts anything because anybody can do so (sell) at anytime if they feel like it.  Anyway I was just curious but disregard.

They probably wish I would sell mine. Possibly the new owner would actually contribute some revenue. At very least they would get the transfer fee.

    Kevin,

I love your passion about bible software and it's development. Passion is a good thing... almost all the time. Keep writing articles and informing your readers about bible software as objectively as possible.

😂 LOL Oh stop it! I think FL is doing bad, business wise, but I don’t think they’re doing THAT bad.  I think they are doing what’s best for them considering that most of us older users have built large enough libraries to grow out of the software and from purchasing too much like we used to. Maybe LifeWay can become a partner and merge and together build a better software with better more accessible content.

Apology accepted. Though to be honest, I've read so much in the last few days that its hard to keep track of who said what and who is upset the most.

I'll apologize and if I offended anyone I am sorry. As things have cleared up and my options have solidified I have become a happy camper. I gave a full explanation of my thinking here - https://community.logos.com/forums/p/160552/958614.aspx#958614 so I don't see any need to repeat that.

Kevin, over many years, you have brought far more customers to Logos than you have cost them.  I have always found your comments helpful and informed.  Blessing brother.

I am not going to be a subscription customer, ever.  But I will not be giving up on my Logos library.  I may not fit their desired customer model, but their software still fits my needs.  I have nearly 25 years of investing in a Logos library, and I am not about to throw that away.  Logos is still one of the best decisions that I every made.
