UNBELIEVABLE - "how to turn Logos forum into a pathetic place"

Logos, please don't take this down. Just as you've allowed everyone to throw his tantrums, please allow me to throw one too.
EDIT: this is not to insult anybody, just to attract attention to myself in sort of satirical way. Please read it like that. Because I think my opinion is very important, and you should really listen to it.
"This is the last straw"
"You won't get my money anymore"
"I'm going to Accordance"
"I've invested $30000 into Logos, you won't get a penny from me anymore"
"You've been getting my meager $100, now you'll get $0"
"Logos is churning out their costumers"
"Bloatware"
[Exegesis paper on 'running a business']
[Sermon "thou shall not deceive your brother"]
[Epistle to Logosians]
[Pessimist's diary entry][Pastor Bob's Bible software future market analysis]
... Etc.
For God's sake, for your congregation's sake, for my sake, please stop it. It's simply painful. Pastors behaving like not pastor-like.
Stop writing your essays here. Nobody is going to read them.
Repent and go to your knees and thank God that He gave you tools (which cost $20000) to study His word. Or if you're so disappointed, give your software to me and go "Bible-only". That will do better for you.
I'm not trying to appear pious. I am not. The next time I'll need you to tell me the same.
And rhetoric aside: Logos tried to give you access to the early features. Now they took the access away (for those $99). Everything's the old way. No one has deceived you.

You must be new here..In Logos money, $8k is pocket change. Most people here spent more than $10k and spent years. (I've spent more than brand new Honda Odyssey)Criticism towards a cooperate/company/business is a normal thing..If a big company dare to do something manipulative & bold, then they must be ready to take the constructive criticism.Nothing against you Rokas. Peace.

I'm with you Rokas! Getting quite annoying coming on the threads and hearing the same complaints made over again.
Don't like it, then unsubscribe. Simple as that.

For your sake?? Ok, and I am invested to $45K and had been fully ok with the LN price and even the last price increase...and would have been ok if the starter was the access to the features Logos Now was originally for, even if there was another price increase.
But come on here and call us whiners? That's just insulting.

Let's see where Logos goes then if we don't subscribe, we don't really want that anymore than Faithlife does...could take the other tact and if you don't like the discussion don't come on the forums.

thanks for the laugh. Not to start the discussion, but the decision hasn't been bad necessarily. You guys invested a lot. Logos wants to make business more sustainable so that your investment doesn't go lost
yes, for make sake [:P] I'll edit my original post to show that I'm not intending to insult anyone, just as I've said to "throw a tantrum" in a bit satirical way. And yes, I agree with you that I'd prefer having all features with starter. But oh well.
God bless you.

Lol,
I see the funny side of this in satire. My satirical retort is (which I hope you will find amusing), if you don't like reading the same complaints over and over again then why do it :-)

You seem to have at least, and taken notes as well lol :-) :-) :-)

I could quote a whole bunch of bible verses about this whole controversy, but I'm too busy casting stones at myself. [;)] Sounds a little like a church split.

The pathetic cycle! It’s been there before, so it will go away and come back 👍😁👌

Ps. By the way, “For God’s sake” is not a proper expression. And it seems people wrote their essays and you read them or else you wouldn’t be posting about them 🤪

Logosians will be migrated into FaithLifers all services of Logos will continue to November 12, 2018 or until your renewal date whichever is later.
We have enrolled you in the FaithLifer Starter program as this is the best value for Logosians who have grown accustomed to our service. As of November 12, 2018 FaithLife tiers of service will take effect. You will notice some adjustments have been put in place that better represent our new reality.
Logosians will expire and FaithLifers will be the nomme de guerre. Logosians to resist is futile the die has been cast and you must accept your fate or surrender your capital. Say after me "FaithLifers Forever, FaithLifers Forever, FaithLifers Forever."
Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

Beloved, that's patho-logically funny.
But it's upsetting, and I really wonder why they intensionally left out Libby-ites. I detect a suspicious agenda.

You've spend more than the cost of brand new Honda Odyssey? That's a great observation. I'm going to see what my total amount amounts too. Maybe a new milk truck [;)]

OMG!!
My wife would kill me if she saw what kind of car I could buy (her?) yes, that's how i'll spin it! with what I've spent over the years. YIKES!!!! This is what the milkman could be driving. These are all brand new 2018's.
The crazy thing about this is that I would still have left over money for maybe a membership at a local golf club. I'm so wrecked. I'd take the Volvo Cross country hands down. Great to take the dog camping in that thing while pulling a brand new trailer.
hmmmm. New trailer?? Time to buy more books.

Agreed. May we all treat those at Faithlife in a way that portrays Christ and not fall into the trap of an american-entitled-consumerism. Thanks for the reminder! [:)]

problem is that you can't pay for a car over 15 years (time I've taken to amass my library and I still have my library but have had multiple cars in that time.

If Faithlife could guarantee me rewards in heaven for purchasing their product, I might not feel as strong a temptation to complain when they expand into wackier and wackier areas of creativity.

I doubt they can, but can I introduce you to my friend who definitely can guarantee this?

Reading the original post, I'm wondering if it might be helpful for FaithLife to create a "Venting" forum. I'm imagining a place to post that flaming essay that I just have to get off my chest, but know in my heart isn't going to be helpful to anyone. To really make it work, we'd need a few special features. I'm thinking of blinking red fonts and background sound effects like thunder, explosions and gnashing teeth. But most important, when I press the "post" button it would appear on my screen properly formatted in all its outraged glory - just long enough for me to shout "yes" and get in a couple of triumphant fist pumps, then disappear forever.
Done properly, it might be better than therapy - and a whole lot cheaper, too.

A venting forum would end up like the Christian Discourse forum...abandoned, for many reasons I care not to share.

No doubt. I do sometimes wish we had a social media analogue to the old fashioned solution of going into the woods out back and shouting at the squirrels. I could say whatever outrageous thing was on my mind, the squirrels didn't care, and no one else ever had to know.

"We" are heavily invested in this company and have every right to express our opinions and question move that materially affect our investment. Measured, unhappy, reasonable, outrageous, it all moves the discussion forward. This is our forum and if we feel taken advantage of we should and do speak up. FL needs to communicate better, but even if it does there will still be times we don't see eye to eye and that's alright. I for one will voice my displeasure!

I did not intend to call anyone out, and I apologize if it came across that way. I also didn't intend to suggest that we should never express our frustrations - I've certainly expressed mine more than once on the forums. This was intended as humor - which actually illustrates some of the limitations of social media.
