Please explain FL Connect Essentials (No Library) to me

The "No Library" part seems up self explanatory meaining we won't get any of the books associated with Essentials.
But if you check out this comparison https://connect.faithlife.com/now-connect-compare Now features and Essentials you will see that the two plans march in lockstep down the page feature for feature. And i see what appears to be lots of books in the Now column. So what does "No Library" really mean?

Good question.. I think we need a 4th column on that chart now.

Your link shows a comparison of features. Features are not the same as books (i.e. a library). The "No Library" part means you won't get the 144 books outlined in the screenshot below. Everything else about the Essentials plan remains the same:

So all the Reverse Interlinears are features and not books?
The distinction between features and books seems kind of blurry to me.
Don't get me wrong. I'm happy with this and it looks to me like I won't be losing anything I now have access to. I'm just trying to understand.

They are associated with Bibles but don't appear in the Library in their own right.
The "Resource Information" page (click the "i" at the top right to get this) for the NIV - for example - speaks about reverse interlinears and specifies their filenames / versions etc
They are not purchased as books but made available as part of feature sets.

Thanks for the clarification!

Having been subscribed to LN, I see under my Subscriptions Faithlife Connect Starter - Annual. I thought having had LN, I would be automatically subscribed to Essentials and not Starter. What am I misunderstanding?

You've not been switched over yet (just like me).
The email I received stated that, "We’ll be migrating Logos Now customers to this new level throughout this week and will send you an email once the change is complete." (emphasis mine)

I was switched over already and noted that if you turned off auto-renew for Connect Starter, that carries over to Connect Essentials (No Library). Be sure to switch it back to "auto renew" so you don't lose the renewal discount.

I was switched over to Connect Starter also. Not sure why some people got starter and some got Essentials. I also don't know the criteria for why some got $100 and some got $200 coupons.
I just checked about 5 minutes ago and I ma now on Connect Essentials (No Library) but I haven't received the email informing me of that yet. I went ahead and turned on auto renew for my subscription.

Its actually listed as Faithlife Connect Essentials - No library (formerly Logos Now) - Annual and I show my Starter subscription as Expired.

That depended upon how long one had been a Logos Now member

The entire mechanism of determining the value of the coupon is shrouded in mystery. https://community.logos.com/forums/p/160787/959653.aspx#959653

Thanks! Mine's also been switched to Essentials (No Library). Claimed my new benefits here: https://connect.faithlife.com/get-started#level-essentials__claimTab-courses

Joshua, Erik & Marshall. I just went over to Subscriptions and noticed they had made a change there. It was still up to me to Renew Faithlife Connect Essentials (with Faithlife Connect Starter as an option also) so I simply clicked the Renew Essentials and I'm in again. As Staples would say, "That was easy."

When this all started Keith, I unsubscribed from LN and used the Coupon to buy Logos 7 Full Feature Set.
Then when the tide turned, I figured I'd switch back to Faithlife Connect Essentials. If I find out before next November that I'm not in need of it, I can simply back out.
I have an idea that when Logos 8 come tearing down the pipes, I'll buy that also.

Oh okay, that makes sense now. Thanks for your reply

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
1 Corinthians 13:12
I'm just extremely thankful for how all this worked out, even if there are parts I don't full understand.

This whole transition is very confusing to me. What do I have, what will I loose, what are my benefits, etc? Maybe it will be clearer as time goes on but have many questions.

One benefit I didn't have with a Now to Connect Starter subscription was the 1 free original book that Connect Essentials offered. Now that I am migrated to Connect Essentials (no library) sometime yesterday I was able to look at my subscription level and claim a free Lexham/Kirkdale book from the list for this month. I was not able to use the code before I was migrated.

1. You have everything you had with Logos Now
2. You lose nothing you already had with Logos Now
3. The benefits are listed here (Essentials plan, minus the 144-volume library mentioned)
4. The additional benefits you gain (which you didn't already have with Logos Now) are (a) one Faithlife original book per month (Lexham Press etc), which you will own, (b) six-month access to one MobileEd course of your choice every 6 months (bundled courses are not included), and (c) access to Bible Study Magazine
You can claim your benefits here at this link: https://connect.faithlife.com/get-started

The archive (volumes 1-9) is under development (see here: https://www.logos.com/product/145946/bible-study-magazine-logos-ed-2008-2017) but the latest issue would have downloaded to your library already; check for Bible Study Magazine, Volume 10
It downloaded within a few days after FaithlifeConnect was announced.
