Greetings all, I took a look around the forum and found a few performance threads, but not quite like this one so I figured it would be worth a post.
First off, I am using A18 on a new Macbook Pro (4gb RAM, Dual Core) and I am finding it extremely slow to use the software at the present time.
When I enter a chapter / verse into the quick launch it comes up fine but then on the 'Passage Guide' pane the 'Biblical People', 'Biblical Places', 'Biblical Things', 'Media Resources', and 'Music' sub sections all have a spinning circle next to them. While this circle is 'spinning' the PCU usage is around 95% and anything I try to do on the system is very, very slow. This happens every time I use the software, and it has finished indexing, etc... these circles continue to spin for about 8-12 minutes and when done everything is quick and useable.
Seems like it is doing an additional index or search or something that is eating up my CPU time, but the fact that it does it every time I use the software, or plug in a new passage seems a tad odd.
Attached are the logs, would love to hear any ideas how to speed things up... as I absolutely love the software. It keeps getting better and I am very excited to see the completed version.
