I read a few posts in the last few days from different people that indicate that perhaps hardware is not the only factor t obe considered for the smooth and swift work flow in L4. Some people with faster machines (than what I have) seem to be experiencing slow sailing and sluggish searches
If this is the case ... there may be some tweaks that we as users can make to the "behind the scenes places where no non geek has gone before". Maybe some memory allocations / threshhold changes ? some routing improvements of some kind? I don't know but I do think that WINDOWS has ALOT of unnecessary motion behind the scenes and ... with a little guidance, we may all benefit from improvements in operating speed and perhaps even overall performance. I know there are probably some legalities involved in this "plan", but it sure would be a GREAT plus to be able to streamline WINDOWS [XP, VISTA and WINDOWS 7] There may even be some tips like this on the web already (wouldn't that be nice).
that's my $.02
