Hopefully just a silly question

How do I know if I have everything in my library. I just upgraded to 4 and I also upgraded the package to the portfolio Edition. So tech support walked me through a few things to get my system working but how can I check to make sure that I had everything from before as well as what I just purchased. When I entered scan optical disk it did something for the first disk but not the second. Any thoughts??

I actually checked to see if some of the books that were a part of the Portfolio package were loaded into my library. Additionally, I also compared the number of resources with the number available in Portfolio. Since I purchased several stand alone products, I knew my total number of resources should be greater than the Portfolio number.

Although I know there is a better, and more accurate manner for making sure you have the correct number of resources, this is what I did to get started. Hopefully, others will chime in with additional suggestions. There are soooo many resources in Portfolio that I've just been trying to get my mind around the resources I do know about. Eventually I will attempt to make sure that every resource I've purchased is indeed part of my library.

You could of course print out the whole library on 80gsm paper (double sided in order to protect the environment).

Once you have it all printed out; weight it, and then ring customer services and ask them wether you collection weighs the same as theirs.

More seriously, if the Portfolio is the only resource that you have purchased recently you may be able to ascertain the expected size of your library file.

Ok ok I love the printing suggestion....great[:S] Let me go to staples first lololol. I tried to do a search for the files but the mac could not find the resources it would only see the library files on the DVD. What directory do I look into on the mac HD?

Hi Bill,

I was thinking of just clicking on the library panel and checking off the list against the resources listed on the Logos web site for your installation.

Even if they are in the resource folder they are of no use unless they appear in the library.
