Strong’s links for KJV 1900 on mobile

Hello,

Are there any plans to offer Strongs links under words for the KJV 1900? I know they are available on the desktop version for the KJV 1900 but not on the Logos app for iphone. I also know it is possible to do because the mobile version of the Interlinear Greek New Testament has the Strong’s links under the words. The fact that this feature has not been added on the mobile version of the most beloved bible in history is unbelievable. It is also insane to think that I and thousands of others have spent untold amounts of money and you don’t offer Strong’s links under words. I mean even swordsearcher bible software has this option and only costs $5.99. Which by the way is the one I have been using. But I want to use only one bible software. Oh and for everyone reading this I ordered my gold Bible software package about two years ago and asked about this option and they still haven’t done anything. For everyone reading this dont you find it ironic that they are selling BIBLE SOFTWARE to STUDY the Bible and they don’t offer Strong’s links under words. I have been told numerous times that certain books aren’t a priority. So I guess the KJV is one of those books? How about this; give us all the options we need to study the Bible without is being cumbersome and then worry about all the other books. I know I can click on a word and do a bible word search but it takes much longer and interrupts my reading. It would be much simpler to just click on the link and have the pop up. And really I don’t believe this method can be improved upon. It is and will always be the best method for study. As stated above the desktop version of the KJV 1900 has the Strong’s links so it would just be a matter of porting that over and formatting for mobile. For everyone that reads this please request that the option be added. It is long overdue!

Best Regards,

J. Reeves

    Hi Joshua

I don’t know if there are any plans to do this but worth pointing out the difference between an interlinear and a reverse-interlinear.

An interlinear has the text in the order of the original language while the reverse-interlinear has English text and then other details - including original language - added.

While mobile apps support display of a range of information for interlinears (as you mention above) they don’t do this for reverse interlinear. So I would expect that providing the functionality you are requesting would be done by implementing full (or at least partial) display of reverse interlinear information which is probably quite a bit of work.

The Info popup shows Strong's numbers in KJV1900 and other reverse interlinear (RI) bibles. Do you want it for keylinking?

There are plans for direct keylinking from RI's but not from Strong's numbers.

Hi Dave, I don't understand all the technical terms. But I would just like to either tap on the word itself or a strongs number under the word and have a pop-up box within formation from my Strongs concordance.

That is keylinking, and it will be supported as indicated by the article I quoted above. You have to ensure that "Enhanced Strong's Lexicon" or "New Strong's Dictionary of Hebrew and Greek Words" is your preferred lexicon (which is primarily a dictionary of original language words called lemmas, but some also allow access via Strong's numbers). Note that a strict "Strong's Concordance" would only gives access via the English words in the KJV, and that is not used for keylinking.
