BUG: iOS app Highlight Synchronisation Completely Broken

The iOS app is not synchronising highlights in either direction. It is not uploading highlights made in the app, nor is it downloading highlights made in Logos 7 on Windows or in the Android app.

I have waited 24 hours for yesterday's highlights to be uploaded from iOS app, but they are not appearing in the Windows app or on Android. IN fact highlights I made in the last week in the iOS app have failed to appear on the other platforms.

However, notes I made on iOS are being synchronised within minutes, so it's just highlights which are broken.

I am using iOS 11.2.6 and the latest iOS app, and the  latest Windows beta (Windows 7) and the latest Android stable release.

My "Document for Highlights" setting is "Palette Specific Note Document"

Can anyone else confirm this or otherwise?

UPDATE: I decided to tidy up my highlighter palettes and collect all my custom styles into one palette, and this seems to have unblocked the synch mechanism and the highlights have now updated.

Will keep an eye on this, because something was definitely stuck.

Highlights ARE notes, just a different kind. Have you checked app.logos.com to see if the highlights are there?

How large are your note documents if printed?

I'm aware that they are the same, which makes it all the more odd that Notes were synched, but not highlights.

Also, I don't think the web app notes sync with the desktop/mobile notes yet, unless this has been updated very recently.

Before I somehow managed to unblock things, I checked the Notes file which contained the highlights on Windows and iOS and there were a whole bunch of highlights in the iOS version of the file which had not been synched to the Windows or Android versions.

The note file concerned is pretty big as it goes back a few years, so I've started a new one, and am sending all my new highlights to that.

    Thanks

My point was that we know the sync system itself is working, but the problem lay with your particular installation. That gives us something to work with on troubleshooting.

For clarification: Is it working now (with a new pallet)? It sounds to me like your problem is "large note syndrome." I strongly recommend that you migrate to "resource specific" note documents, which will help you to create smaller note documents.

You are right. I meant documents.logos.com

Ah yes - if it happens again I'll have a look there.
