Technical/windows Question

I have Logos on a big laptop but also a cheap surface pro. The surface has limited hard drive capacity and now when I try and index the library, the temporary file created exceeds what drive capacity I have left and stops. I was wondering if there is any way I can tell Logos to put the temporary file onto my SD card within the surface instead of on the main drive ?

I found the answer :-) There is a feature in windows called MKLINK \d which allows me to copy a directory and then get windows to point to that directory from another area. I just copied the index folder to my SDcard and then dynamically linked to it

Hi John,

I'll let you know how it goes. While indexing the processor was running at 100% so it didn't seem to be being held up on the SD access. I have only moved the index directory at the moment so the main library is still on my surface's local drive

An SD card for Logos is not supported by Faithlife.

I've had Logos fully installed on an SD card on a low-power Windows tablet and experienced its unreliability i.e. 'losing' the drive.
