Speed Issues Offline

Logos has come a long way for offline use in 1.4.1. The library can now be searched, location is better remembered, references can be clicked and pop up, etc. It was a great update. It would be great if a basic text level search could be added, but I can see where that is a major feature request and may take some time.

My biggest concern/request about the existing features is the speed. Logos is very slow when used offline.

Opening "Library"
The first time the "Library" is opened takes 30 seconds. After it has been opened it will open again very quickly until Logos is shut down. I timed it from two different situations. First I timed it from the homepage when Logos first opened. I then restarted Logos and timed it after taping the screen while reading a book to show the options. Both times took 29-32 seconds to open the "Library".

Searching "Library"
When searching the library, I type a letter and it shows up immediately. I then have to wait 20 seconds before results are shown and I can enter another letter. This is true for every letter so searching for "Romans" takes 2 minutes.

Opening a Bible reference pop up
After tapping on a Bible reference, it takes 20 seconds for the verse to show.

Each of these features are very nice and I am grateful to have them. Making them a bit quicker would really enhance their usefulness. Having the Bible references display more quickly would be especially useful since this is a feature that may be used many times when reading.

Using iPod Touch 2G 8Gig (less than half full)

Thank you,
Rob

When searching (or sorting/filtering or whatever the correct term is) the library in offline mode, would it be possible to have it wait to search until the whole word is entered instead of as each letter is typed? This would be a way to eliminate the 20second delay after typing every letter.
