CPU off the chart and no Bib, people, places, things, music

Hi all

After opening L4 A18 and doing a passage search the processor spikes to over 190%. The Commentaries show, as do the Bibles, text comparrison. The Biblical People, Places, Things, and music have spinners on and they seem to stay there for ever. This use to work with A17. I have re-indexed and tried the delete user prefs followed by a Sync now command but this still happens.

I am on a MacBook Pro Dual Core 2 2.16 4Gb Ram, and a 128Gb SSD hard disk.

Please find a screen shot and the logs.

    Hi Nathan

Until Biblical Places, People and Things are a bit kinder to the memory and CPU it is best to start with them closed and only open them if you really need them.

Somebody said 'they leak memory like a sieve' so expect to restart once you have dealt with them - and of course closed them up again.

Of course all this care may be unnecessary in A19 but for now...

This is an issue at the moment in the Alpha. Biblical People, Places and Things, particularly are slow. I found that things speeded up considerable when I closed the dropdowns for those. Have a look at this thread, where I illustrate how to close them. http://community.logos.com/forums/t/15913.aspx
