Hastings Dictionaries

There are two dictionaries in Community Pricing by James Hastings.  Is there any connection between the two?  Is the Dictionary of Christ and the Gospels an extraction from the Dictionary of the Bible?  I am familiar with the author and his dictionaries - but not how these two works relate to each other.  Thank you for any details.

Is the Dictionary of Christ and the Gospels an extraction from the Dictionary of the Bible?

Nope, they are different dictionaries. One dealing with the whole bible and the other on the gospel. in fact the IVP dictionaries took the idea of a Gospel dictionary and subsequent new testament dictionaries from Hastings.
