SUGGESTION: Add Option to Auto-hide the Highlighting pane

I don't know about anyone else, but I like to use the markup tools when I'm studying, marking the important words and phrases (in Bibles and Commentaries) - so I use the Highlighting pane frequently. In fact I like leaving the Highlighting pane open for quick access.

But one thing that bothers me a little is the fact that the Highlighting pane takes up screen real estate whenever it's open.

So, I would like to suggest that Logos add the option to auto-hide the Highlighting pane. If implemented it would allow a user to leave it open and yet it wouldn't take up space from the rest of the layout - it would pop-out over the top of the current layout and disappear again when finished.

You will be happy to know that in the beta, you can make it so that highlights are applied with a simple assignable keystroke. You won't even need the highlighting pane anymore. [:D]

Can you set up multiple types of highlighting or markup with different keystrokes?; because that would be great for the multiple types that I use.

Although I would then have to memorize which keystrokes to use for each type of markup. But still pretty good.

Because of that I'd still like to have an option to leave it open and have it auto-hide when not in use. That way I don't have to remember anything - just hover my mouse cursor over it (wherever it is docked) and choose what type I want.

But hey, that's just me.

Another solution might be to float the highlighting panel. It will stay behind other open windows, till needed.

Yeah, you can assign keys A-Z to highlighting styles. So for example I did [Y] for yellow, [G] for Green, [Q] for my question markup, [U] for underline, etc. It is extremely nice. If you do markups a lot like me, it'll soon become 2nd nature and you won't even have to think about which keystroke goes with what
