I just recently purchased and installed Logos 4, having used Logos 2 for many years. I would like to import my Logos 2 notes into Logos 4 but do not know how. Is it possible to do so?
There are a couple of different programs that could be called "Logos 2". If the "Logos 2" that you own is the Libronix Digital Library System (looks like http://www.logos.com/media/blog/church/workspace21.png), then it's easy to import your notes. In Logos 4, enter import notes into the command box at the top of the screen. For more information, search the Help for "import", or read http://wiki.logos.com/Importing_from_LDLS3
If the "Logos 2" that you own is the Logos Library System (looks like http://divinity.library.vanderbilt.edu/images/logos1.jpg) then an extra step is involved. Logos 4 cannot read those note files directly; they have to be imported into Libronix DLS first (using the File > Import Notes menu command) and then imported into Logos 4 following the steps above.
Hello, Bradley. Thank you very much for your reply. Apparently I have the Logos 2 that is the Logos Library System version. Sometimes I can be a bit of a cabbage-head, so do I understand correctly that first I have to convert the LLS notes file to a LDLS notes file and then it can be imported into Logos 4? I don't have that middle bit, the LDLS. So what do I do?
You can get the LDLS here: http://www.logos.com/support/downloads/ldls
