Unable To Read Downloaded Books in Airplane Mode (iPad)
I'm trying to read downloaded books while in Airplane Mode and get the following message: "Error loading book. Logos could not load the specified book."

Don't have this issue when I turn Airplane Mode off and use Wi-Fi or 3G.

I and a few others have had the same issue, but Dave reported that he was unable to replicate the problem. http://community.logos.com/forums/t/16146.aspx
I fixed mine by logging out which removed all my downloaded books and the re-downloading them. The problem is that without understanding why it happened, I have no confidence that it won't happen again so I downloaded a free ESV bible to iBook so at least I wouldn't be left in the lurch on a Sunday.
My downloaded books showed the little airplane when in wifi mode, but were not listed in the library in airplane mode. Yet I was still logged in.

Thanks, Terry. I'm inclined to think it is a bug. I just got this iPad yesterday and downloaded the resources so haven't even had a chance to muck it up yet. :-)
As you say, the current "fix" is a pain since the cause hasn't been identified and a reoccurrence is likely. I suppose another "fix" would be to always maintain a wireless connection, but that isn't reasonable either.0 -

I agree Brian. I believe Dave is doing the best he can, but without things like log files it must be harder to troubleshoot some of these issues.
The thing the app is starting to feel like a red headed step child, I am not sure what resources have been allocated to the iPhone/iPad since many times getting help takes awhile. I have had a post up on the problem with "favorites" for a couple of days and no response from Logos. I guess I will just call them on Monday morning.

This has been an ongoing issue for me as well - even after I torched all of my downloaded books, uninstalled the app, reinstalled it, and then pulled a few down to test them. I'm using an iTouch rather than an iPhone, so I wondered if the problem might not have something to do with that ...
I'm confident that if enough of us keep reporting this issue, the fine folks at Logos will figure it out eventually ...
peace, rob

My experience today is if I 1) leave Airplane Mode off, 2) turn Wi-Fi off and 3) turn Cellular Data (3G) off I can still access my downloaded books. However, if I change Airplane Mode to on, then I cannot access my books. So at least in my case, it's best to pretend the Airplane Mode selection does not exist and just always leave it set to off. If I want wireless access shut down, I'll just turn Wi-Fi to off and Cellular Data to off (ignoring Airplane Mode). As of now this still lets me access my downloaded library. Dave, if there is anything we can do to help test, please let us know. Thanks.

Brian/Rob, I would suggest that you not just leave this as a question on the forum, but actually call Logos technical support and give them the specifics of the issue. I would, but mine is no longer suffering the problem since the reload.
