Resources with.... (passage in all versions)

I am still pretty new to v4, but noticed that when adding a tab next to an open Bible I am presented with a list parallel resources that all contain the verse I am viewing (I'm not sure if this has always been there or is new with the patch). Anyway, is there anyway to open my passage in all of the versions listed like the old days of v3? I've set up my collections etc, as mentioned by some of the other posters, but this still seems like a basic feature that is missing. Any word?

Im unsure if this is what you are asking, but in case it is ...

Type the command open text comparison into the Logos4 Command Box, will allow you to see the same verse, or range of verses, in whatever subset of Bibles you have.

Its a great way to get a new insight based on one of the translations wording something differently. Of course, if one stands alone, you then have to study more to understand why its different.

You can also assign text commands to shortcut icons if you find you need it all the time.

I'm unsure if this is new, or if I just never found it earlier. If its not there on your copy, I'd guess you will get it with the 4.0c update soon. Its in the 4.0c Beta versions.

No this is not the same thing as "passage in all versions." Text comparison requires you to have created the collection you wish to compare. If you add new Bibles for example, they will not show up in the text comparison unless you manually add them to a collection. "passage in all versions" was a much simpler tool. It looks as though, it isn't coming back.

Ah, I got it now. I just needed to create a collection using the "type:Bible" in the command line. Easy fix, but having to know command line codes certainly raises the learning curve.

It's a paradigm shift but once you get used to the new way of working you will see the power inherent in dynamic collections like type:bible because you don't have to change anything when you purchase a new bible!
