Some sort of text expansion for renaming commentary titles

Looking at the time KS4J and Matthew (and others) have spent to rename commentaries, I think it would be beneficial if there was some sort of macro or text expansion that could be used when mass-changing titles of (multiple-selected) resources.
Most of the metadata people would want to use for title information is there, but its use seems to be limited to filtering at the present.
It would be more expedient if we could reference that resource metadata for our new title names, instead of having to add dates, authors, or series names by hand for each title.
For example, if something like {{%SeriesName: %ShortName (%Author, %PublicationYear)}} for a long title, expanded to "Hermeneia: Romans (Jewett, 2006)"
Thanks!
Links to any existing user voice or forum suggestions appreciated, as I'd expect others have already requested this.

I like your idea, but I'm not sure Logos can remember to use the editted title.
So far, between the iffy on the desktop, conflicting on the mobiles, and 'not' on the web, I'd assume UI consistency isn't a big issue for them.
