Bible changes?

I see in KJV, in Isiah 11:6 it says "Wolf shall lay down with lamb...," shouldn't it say "Lion shall lay down with lamb...?" I checked with all my printed Bibles and the change was done in them also?

I always thought that it was the lion that laid down with the lamb?

This is an instance of the well-known psychological phenomenon of "false memory". Because Isiah 11.6 also mentions a Lion (as well as a leopard), the brain gets things mixed up, and it has lead to a large number of people "falsely remembering" that the quote is "the Lion will lie down with the lamb" when in fact it is "the Wolf shall lie down with the lamb". In Psychiatry this is known as "confabulation".

In today's internet world, this "false remembering" has lead to a theory known as the "Mandela Effect". This is supposedly proof that there are alternate realities and some people have crossed over from them and are remembering things from that alternate reality while existing in this world. If you take any of the supposed "tests" for "proof" that the Mandela Effect is "real", this "false remembering" of this quote from Isiah 11.6 as "Lion" instead of "Wolf" is one examples quoted that supposedly proves it all.

It is ultimately a load of old hokum. Don't get sucked into an internet meme which uses a very real human foible ("false memory") to bolster up some made up nonsense about people supposedly crossing over from a different reality.

Well, you aren't the only one who was apparently 'confabulating' (thanks David!) because I was recently listening to a podcast or some other audio and this verse came up and I had a similar reaction. I actually thought the speaker had it wrong and meant to go check it out later but the whole thing slipped my mind.

I never heard of the "Mandela Effect." Learn something new every day. People crossing over from a different reality I have heard this once on a radio show, but somehow, this was mixed with UFO's? I don't believe in either. But, I find it interesting and sad that people believe so deeply in those things.

I'll have to raise my hand to confabulation, a first for me. Does it come under-just plain forgetting? If it does, I'm in trouble.

looking closer at the resting lamb, is that a wolf next to the lamb in that picture? Maybe he had it right the whole time?
