MEMORY ISSUES WITHNEW IPAD WITH 512 GB MEMORY

Hi, I just purchased a new IPad with 512gb or memory, yet I'm incapable of doing one single thing with the darn thing. The logos app kicks me out and freezes up right up from the very beginning.

With my old iPad (128gb), I used to use Faithlife with some inconveniences, although I had to wait a minute or so every time I looked at one of my notes. Now I can't use it at all even though I have a whole lot more memory than before.

What can I do? My library is very large.

For clarification: That isnt 512 GB of memory, but 512 GB of storage.

Having more storage will do nothing for the problems you indicate. If you have a short bed truck loaded to the brim and it has troubles going up hill, swapping it out for a long bed truck (all other things being equal) won't help you any in trying to get up the hill.

What can I do? My library is very large.

Well let's start there. Are you trying to download your entire library? If so, that is strongly not recommended. Do you have very large note files? If so, how many pages would the largest one(s) be if you printed them out?

I didn't understand what you were saying at first... you mean, you can't set up the iPad as a "restore from backup" and get Logos to work. I concur that you should not try that. If for some reason you do want to "restore from backup" for other reasons, you should still delete the app and start from scratch.

How do I do that? All I want is a few bibles, some commentaries and all my notes on my preferred bible (NASB)

Your entire library (or nearly) <should> be available "in the cloud" (online only). Depending upon a number of circumstances, Logos may have thought this was a previous installation and started to download the resources you had downloaded previously. Do you have reason to think that is the case?

If you want to check to see what is downloaded, you can either put the device into "airplane mode" OR you can use the syntax local: in the library. I typically leave that syntax in my library so that I just have a list of downloaded books to select from.

You can't choose which notes download... they will ALL download. No exceptions.

I talked to customer services. A lady told me that I have to "hide" many of the resources I don't want on my computer first. After I do that, I could access my iPad logos without a problem.

The issue I have is that I use my logos on my laptop all the time which allows me to choose what I have at any given moment. However, for the iPad I don't need to access all my resources, but she told me that I can't separate my iPad resources from what I have from my computer unless I hide them on my laptop (iCloud?).

In this case, logos on my iPad is completely useless since it doesn't work because of the enormous number of resources I have. All it does is to either freeze or kick me out.

My question is, what do people do when they want to use their iPad but their resources are just too big?
