Logos Not Starting Up!! Help!

Hey everyone (everyone?). I am new to everything. I have a new MacBook Pro and just bought the Scholars Edition. I downloaded the startup file from the website. When I try to launch Logos nothing happens. Nothing at all. I was on the phone with a support person who removed the startup file and then re-downloaded it. Tried the whole process over but nothing worked. I also tried several troubleshooting things suggested on the logos wiki. Still won't start up?! Ahhhhh!! Help!

Try this: http://www.logos.com/logos4mac Sounds like you may have gotten ahold of the Windows Setup file. Drag the application from the .dmg file into your applications folder to install it. Enjoy (keep in mind the searching and a couple things that SHOULD work at this stage in the development process are broken. Devs are working on a fix and will probably release tomorrow)

Thanks for the reply. What is happening is the file downloads and when you launch it, the icon in the dock starts bouncing as when you launch any application. After that....nothing. Nothing happens at all. I can click on the apple to force quit and it shows the app running but not responding? So far it seems to be an issue with my MacBook. Everything seemed to be working fine on my Mac before I left town.

What version of OS X are you running? What you are describing sounds symptomatic of using Tiger (10.4.11) Logos4 is not compatible with Tiger or the PPC architecture. To make sure go to the apple icon in the top right-hand corner of your computer, and select "About This Mac." There it will tell you what version of the operating system you are running. If you know you have an intel Mac I would suggest upgrading to Snow Leopard.

and double click on Terminal. Then type in the following, hit enter, and restart Logos4--
