Getting tired of the exclamation mark.

I'm getting really tired of this. Whenever I click to manually choose to sync, the warning disappears for a few minutes and the tooltip claims that "all items are up to date". In a few minutes, however, the warning is back! The warning also disappears temporarily if I choose to Update Current Layout.

It looks like a bug in the layouts sync, or possibly a corrupted layout. I can't tell from the limited info in the error log. If you don't have many layouts it might be worth just opening each one and updating the current layout. If that doesn't fix the problem, upload the logos.log that shows those operations. It's possible that might help to narrow it down. (If you have dozens of layouts, don't bother, as I'm not sure that will help or not. Wait for a dev to get back to you after Easter.)

In addition tot he error in the layouts mentioned by Mark, it also appears that you have a notesapi error. I know from the FL group you are actively testing the new tool.

I was experiencing similar symptoms that FL determined was related to the new tool. However, after the 7.14 Beta 2 update, I stopped seeing the error.

As Mark said though, probably best to let FL weigh in

Mark, thanks for your suggestion. It didn't fix the error but it did give me the push I needed to get my layouts cleaned up and re-optimized! 😜

Fred, I too am suspicious it has to do with the Notes tool... I guess I'll weight for a FL rep to weigh in.

Adam said in the Notes tool group that they have better diagnostic reporting for the notes tool now. They were also puzzled why the update suddenly caused my error to disappear. Maybe this is one of those whack-a-mole bugs

FYI, I have similar symptoms when I put my laptop to sleep without closing Logos then later wake it up to continue my work. This can happen when I stay on the same network and especially if I wake it up on a different network (Home vs Church).

I have had this problem for what seems like as long as I can remember. Long before I was testing the notes tool. It does seem to go away after a reboot of the app. But, I don't want to reboot my app every time. I just try to ignore it. There seem to be many of those things. [:P]
