Grammar links in every verse of the Bible to Greek & Hebrew grammar books that we have bought
I would like you to provide original language Bibles that have links that we can click on that take us directly to relevant grammar articles in each of our original language grammars that we own in Logos. You would need to go though the Bible verse by verse in the original languages and find grammatical points that are relevant in each verse. Then put links into each verse that we can click on to get straight to the answers to those grammatical points.
It would be ideal to have a separate line under each verse for each grammar book. It would be best if it is not just Gesenius for Hebrew because that grammar is very difficult to understand. It is a very thorough grammar but again it is very difficult to understand. If you want to do it just for a single grammar it would be wonderful but only if you write your own exhaustive grammar in crystal clear English. All of the Hebrew grammars are not exhaustive except Gesenius which unfortunately is almost impossible to understand.
As you can imagine this would be tremendously useful. It takes a lot of time to find the part in the grammars that are relevant to the verse when we do it ourselves. If you make one search through the whole of the scriptures and document what you have found with links for us it will be very useful for the rest of us. That will save everyone (thousands of us) having to do the same search. We would also probably miss loads of grammatical points that an expert (that you would have) could find. We don't need to keep reinventing the wheel all the time. One person does all the hard work and the rest of us can benefit from it.
It would be good if you did a kind of Louw-Nida numbered reference system of grammatical points in Logos that could connect from the Bible to the grammatical point in any grammar.
I can see that it will be a huge task but I think that it will be worth it. Even if it is not an exhaustive set of references it will be worth it. Also, if it is too big of a job it would be good to do Genesis (Hebrew) and John's Gospel (Greek) to begin with. They will be hugely helpful to people like me who are learning these languages.

Does the Exegetical Guide provide the functionality you are looking for?
As you can see there are two sections - one containing references to Grammars and one pointing our particular graphical constructions
And the small "A" in the top-left of each resource shows they are in a link set which means if you update the verse in the Bible, it automatically updates the Exegetical Guide to the same verse

Thanks for that about the Exegetical Guide. I think that does answer my point very well. It looks like they have improved the Exegetical Guide since I last looked at it. It looks tidier. I had forgotten about it. I will look into it and try it out.

Another question came up while I was looking at the Exegetical Guide and the resources it links to:
Why does the Glossary of Morpho-Syntactic Database Terminology contain links to several Hebrew grammars, but no links to any Greek grammars?

The Hebrew portions were pretty much completely rewritten/extended in the past two years, I believe the grammar links were added as part of that rewrite/expansion.
I'll see about updating the Greek entries with links, but can make no promises as to when it might be complete.

There's another way of accomplishing this that I often use, which does require a little setup but works well for me. I find it a little more focused than the Exegetical Guide if I am looking to focus on grammar only.
- Build a collection of grammars. I've got one for Greek and one for Hebrew grammars but you could just build one. A quick-and-dirty way of doing this is simply to set the rule for the collection as "type:grammar". That'll probably give you some you don't want but you can always remove them later.
- Add the grammars to the "Cited by" tool. You click on the "Add" chevron at the top right of the Cited By tool to accomplish that.
- Put your original-language text in Link Set A by clicking the cover shot in the top-left corner of the panel.
- Set the Cited by tool to "Follow" in its link settings. This is slightly trickier to find, but you can do it by clicking the chevron/down-arrow on the top left of the "Cited By" panel.
If you do that, all references in your grammars to a particular verse will appear when you hover or click on a particular verse. I prefer click, as the distraction of everything changing every time I move the cursor confuses me.
I would have added screenshots but I'm about to go out. It is a lot easier than it sounds from my instructions! If uyou like it, I suggest you save it as a layout. That will mean you simply open the layout every time you want to use it.
