Note Sub-Categories

Hi! I am new to Logos, converted from Olive Tree. One thing I can't seem to find is the ability to create sub-categories for my notes. This was a huge part of my Bible study practices in the other application and made my life so much easier and more organized. I had sub-categories for individual resource notes to better organize them. It seems like if I want to make specific notes for specific resources and keep them organized, I have to create a brand new "top-level" notebook for each resource I use. It would be much easier to have a main category with all of the sub-categories listed under it for easier finding.

Is this at all possible or do I need to find another structure for my notes? I spent quite a bit on the app, so I will stick around regardless (not to mention its feature set is way better), but I would like to find a solution for this.

Thank you in advance for any and all help you can provide.

Are you using the web app, or did you purchase a base package?

i ask because the notes to that is included on the web app is a beta of a new notes tool currently being developed. It is also being beta tested by a small group of users in the desktop application. FL has stated that the intent is to replace the existing notes tool with the new one. i don’t know if it will provid what you’re looking for, but it does have a very different method of storing and sorting notes.

if you have access to the web app, you can play with it. Be aware that any notes you create in the web app will not sync with the old notes tool included with the desktop app.

It will likely take some time, and there is a learning curve, but I think you will find Logos a much better program than Olive Tree.

If you are using the Windows or OSX program (not the web, iOS or Android apps), on the "Tools" tab is an option called Favorites. You can nest resources, clippings, notes, etc. in the Favorites folder to do what you are describing. I'm not familiar with how this may work on some of the other platforms.
