Semeia in L4

I just purchased "Semeia" and I see that a disk is being mailed for L3. Is there a way to get L4 to recognize my Lic. for "Semeia" and download the L4 versions?

I've lauched it a couple of times and it's not downloading anything. This seems like a first for me as I have bought other products that were L3 and they seemed to sync so that I would launch L4 and and they would show up.

You could try the following page and see if you have an option to install from the web site, Just click on the order number and follow the instructions. You may need to install for L3 (just run the script for previous versions), then start L3 and let it discover the new resource & license. Then sync your license within L3. After that completes (assuming you can do it this way). Start, or restart L4. This should do it -- although sometimes there is a bit of a lag before the server verifies the license, makes it available to your account, and the information is populated to the physical servers to which you connect.

If you call Customer Support (800-875-6467) they can activate the SN that came with your disk. Once the product has been activated in your account, you would just restart Logos 4 to install the licenses, and then the resources should download. The other option, if Logos 3 is still installed, is to install from the CD into L3 and activate it yourself over the internet.

There is no option to install it from the web site. I have L3 installed and have synced my lic. several times but no update or downloads are comming through on either L3 or L4.

EDIT: I downloaded the files from the FTP site but they appear locked in L3.

Maybe its a sync issue or maybe there is a Key on the CD that is being mailed?

Strange though as I have had another product that required a cd Key for L3 but it installed in L4 after syncing my L3 lic and before the cd arrived to install it in L3.

If it hasn't been unlocked in your account by activating the serial number, I'm not sure how synchronizing would install that license, unless the product had also been unlocked. In this case, the Semeia is not activated or unlocked in your account, so there is no license to sync at this time.

EDIT: it's not a hot issue for me. I may have assumed to much based on some unusual experience(s) with L4 and a specific product to date. It only seemed odd to me, at first, that it wasn't available in L4 right away since the L4 license is controled at the other end of my internet connection on the Logos servers.

Nevertheless... I'm assuming that you mean I must use the unlock key in L3 (once I receive the cd disk) and sync the lic. for it to be available in L4? Or Call customer service with the unlock key to unlock it in L4. Correct?

Edit 2: Just got an email back from customner service.

QUOTE : "This product is only available from us as a CD-ROM product." ... "As soon as you receive this product, please send us the serial number. We can activate it for you. Once is has been activated, the next time you open your Logos 4, it will download. If you also would like it in your Libronix 3, after activation, you will have to synchronize your licenses, and copy to your hard drive."

I suspected as much, but it was worth a try. Much of the time, these must be unlocked via a code that comes with the CD. But as this method is transitioning, I thought it was worth a look.

But I did re-read my posts and then thought a little longer to myself that maybe I didn't speak as peacefully clear as I could have if I would have slowed down to think about what I wanted to ask or say.

Yes, either install in L3 and activate through the Account Management process in the program, or call CS and give them the Serial Number so they can activate it. In either case, restart L4 once it has been activated in your account.
